The Alaskan Malamute, or Eskimo Dog or Siberian Husky are descended from the Arctic Wolf. They are affectionate dogs and very loyal. They are native to Siberia.
The height can be anywhere from 18 to 25 inches. The weight varies, depending on the breed, from 80 pounds (Alaskan Malamute), 70-100 pounds (Eskimo Dog) or 50 pounds (Siberian Husky). They are double coated and have a very thick undercoat perfectly suited for their native habitat. Colors range from black to pure white.
